Douglas and Juliet's Wedding!!

My brother, Douglas, and Juliet got married on Valentine's Day. The week of their wedding is when the girls got RSV. We were DEVASTATED because we didn't think we were going to be able to go (Shane was supposed to do the wedding and sing and I had a VERY important role...makeup! :). The girls kept getting worse and my hopes of us being able to make the trip became less and less as the week progressed. There was absolutely NO way the girls could make the trip. I was so sad because we had already missed so many significant events in Douglas's life this past year (Landon's birth, Douglas baptism-he became a Christian this past fall- and now we were going to miss his wedding, too). Well, on Friday morning (the day before the wedding), Shane told me that he was going to stay and watch/take care of the girls so that I could go to the wedding. That meant SOOOO much to me! Did I mention that I have the most precious husband in the world?? His mom graciously drove down 9 hours and helped out while I was gone. SO, I got in the car and drove 8 hours (by myself in COMPLETE silence :)....it was wonderful :). The wedding was incredible. It's been so cool to see how the Lord has and is continuing to redeem my brother, Juliet and their family. God's grace is so amazing.

A Few Pics

The triplets playing :)

The girls getting ready to go swimming. (the love to "climb" Shane like he is a mountain:) Only here could you throw your kids in a kiddie pool outside in mid-Febuary!

The kiddos in the pool in our back yard. As you can see from this picture, Gabbie pays very close attention to every little detail of everything! She can stare at and investigate a toy forever. She is really gentle with everything she touches. Jocelyn, on the other hand, is WIDE OPEN! She is like a bucking bronco that has been let out of its cage! Her favorite thing right now is to harass Jayden, like splashing water all in his face in the pool. She loves to chase him down all over the house and try to take whatever he has away from him. Jayden has figured out that he can "escape" her by crawling up in a chair or the couch so she can't reach him. It's really hilarious to watch them all interact. Although, the beginnings of "No, No, Jocie" has not been fun for mama! This whole discipline thing is going to be a challenge :) Jocelyn especially likes to take Gabbie "out"....BUT, I think Gabbie is getting just a little bit tired of it b/c the other day, Jocelyn was trying to stand up, using Gabbie's shoulders as her prop of course, and Gabbie all the sudden took Jocelyn's arm and started BITING her!!! WHAT!?!? Who showed her how to do that? I guess it's a natural instinct for some. SO....that begins another fun "season"! yay!! Oh, and by the way, Gabbie started crawling this past week!!! She has been SOOOOO less frustrated since she has been able to move around the house and not be "left" by the other two kiddos :)

RSV Update, etc. etc.....

Well, after almost 3 weeks of horrible sickness, we think that the girls are on their way to recovery....hopefully. They both started feeling better a few days ago and the major symptoms of the RSV are pretty much gone (Thank You JESUS!!). Last weekend Gabbie developed a really bad ear infection from the RSV, so she is still on antibiotics for a few more days. It has definitely been a VERY tough few weeks. Thanks to all who have been praying for the girls and for us to have the endurance to deal with two very sick babies around the clock. Gabbie is still having a REALLY hard time sleeping at night (I think she got used to being up at night with the breathing treatments, etc.). She has been waking up crying uncontrollably for hours for the past I don't know how many nights (that just shows you how tired I am....I don't even know what day it is :)....so, please continue to pray for her....and us....THANKS!! I know the Lord will continue to sustain us....HE always does.

A HUGE thank you to Gran, Shane's mom, for coming down this past week and helping us out SOOOOO much with the girls. We couldn't have made it without you!!! Seriously.... :)

RSV Times 2

Please pray for the girls. They both were diagnosed with RSV on Sunday. Jocelyn is alot worse than Gabbie right now. I had to take her back to the doctor last night and they put her on breathing treatments (which she HATES). They did not sleep very much last night because they are having such a hard time breathing and they are coughing so much. Please pray that the Lord will heal them and that they won't have to be put in the hospital. Thanks so much.
