I hate good-bye's...

We had a going-away party for our friends, Josh and Stacey, this weekend. I hate good-bye's! Stacey has been such an awesome friend the past two years. I am SO very grateful that the Lord brought her into my life. I really don't know if I would have made it (atleast made it and still be sane) without her! :) I will miss her so much. They are moving up to D.C....actually she is going up there now and Josh is going to be living with us for the next few weeks so he can finish up his classes at RTS. He lived with us for the first few months he was here so we are so excited that he is gonna go out the way he came in!! Bless him. All the kiddos are WAY more loud (well...particularly mine) than they were last year when he lived with us. Hopefully he will survive! We love you both so much and treasure your friendships!!

Shane and Josh

Lisa, Heather, and Kim are all in Shane's class. I am in denial that we are going to be saying good-bye to them as well in a couple of months. Not fun. Not fun at all :(

She cracks me up...

We bought the girls some play high-heels a while back. They love them. Jocelyn especially loves hers. She wears them ALL the time....even with her footed polk-a-dot PJ's. If this is not a fashion statement, I don't know what is!!

Cute striped dress....check. Pink sparkly high-heels....check. Purple flowered purse....check. Sippy cup....check. Box of wipes....check. Ok, people...I'm ready.

I do believe that this is becoming her signature picture face. She absolutely cracks me up.

It's another world....

Every week when I go to our Thursday playgroup with my twinsie friends, I usually have a moment when I step back and look at the 8 little twins running or splashing or whatever and think to myself that I would never in a million years have imagined that I would have had twins and then be at someone's house with 3 other moms that have all twin girls the same age as mine. It really is another world. It's SO different from the world I used to live in prior to the girls being born. I mean...TOTALLY different. It's humorous for me to think about what a typical day used to look like for me and now what a typical day looks like. Another world. I'm so thankful that I got to live in my previous world. What amazing memories. And I am so thankful for my new world and the memories I already have from it...

Not sure what this face was all about...but it's precious...

All the girlies playing in the splashpad...

For YEARS, I would go to lunch with girls from campus...almost every single day....usually long talks about deep things of life. I loved those times. Now my "lunch dates" are watching my girls have "lunch dates" with other little girls and fighting over hotdogs and shredded cheese and goldfish. Too funny. Different worlds for sure. Love it.

Strawberry Patch!!

We took the girls to a strawberry patch last week. To say they loved it would be a major understatement :). It was so funny to watch their different personalities come out while we were there....this is obvious is the pics. Here they are heading out to pick....they were SO excited!

Jocelyn grabbing her first treasure...

Getting the hang of it.....

Shortly after they started to pick, Jocelyn realized that she could eat the strawberries...so from then on....that's mainly what she did! She always kept a few in her basket...but only a few. She ate the rest :)

She absolutely cracks me up...

Gabbie, on the other hand, carefully selected each strawberry she picked and gently placed it in her basket. She definitely didn't come close to eating one (she does not eat fruit...I know...what kid doesn't eat fruit?!?). She filled her basket until it was overflowing and then tried to steal Jocie's basket so she could fill it up as well...

Taking a break....

She had strawberries all over her face and shirt....

Going pay for our strawberries. Jocelyn had 3 left in her basket. Gabbie's was overflowing. Too funny!

Hay Hay & Gran's Visit

Last weekend Hay Hay & Gran came to visit. The girls love when Gran & Hay Hay come because that means they get to eat at Chick-fil-A every single day!! And, of course, ice cream is a must!

Gabbie goes straight for the cone first...then the ice cream starts dripping out all over the place...fun times :)

Hay Hay & Gran drove their motor home down and stayed at this KOA campground close to our house. The girls loved it because it had a cool playground, a pool, and baby ducks walking around (I think Jocelyn traumatized the baby ducks because she chased them so much :). We had a family picnic (chick-fil-a was served of course!)

The girls loved the pool. I think they are SO ready for swimming lessons...I need to get on that I guess. OR...I can just throw them into the deep end of the pool and let them learn how to swim on their own (that what my dad did with us :)....guess it works!)

Hay Hay trying to coax Jocie to come out just a little deeper...

Gabbie preferred the hot tub...it felt more like bath water :)

I can't believe we move in a couple of months (whoop, whoop!!). I went to the local liquor store last week and stocked up on boxes. They gave me a ton and they were already put together, which was super great. We've tried to stack them neatly in the garage, but the kiddos love to crash into them like they are "water" (Jayden currently thinks all things are water to jump into, splash, crash into, etc...and the idea has spread around the camp :) SOOOOO, now are garage just looks like a huge mess with scattered liquor boxes everywhere....I'm sure our neighbors think we are all alcoholics! Oh well....

Jocie cheezing for the camera...

Gabbie actually cheezing, too...that is rare...

Cheezing again...

And again....

Daddy soakin up the love....

Last week the doctor diagnosed Gabbie with asthma...sad times. We have to give her breathing treatments every morning and every night for 6 weeks to see if it helps her at all. Hopefully it will. We've been using our treatment times as reading opportunities. Gabbie actually enjoys getting the breathing treatments...probably because she gets to sit on my lap the whole time :)

The Dream Concludes..Part 4...Easter Festivities

Yay! This is my last section of my "catch up on the past 3 months blogging day"!!

We had a fun Easter week. On Thursday we had a picnic and Easter Egg hunt with my two friends and their twins. It was the first time the girls had ever been introduced to Easter baskets, hunting for eggs in the grass, etc. etc. I wasn't sure they would be that into it....well, I was wrong! They thought it was so fun....especially when they discovered that their were treats inside the eggs :)

Gabbie getting REALLY excited over her veggie straws :)

Jocie and her puppy basket

Gabbie filling up her piggy basket

Gabbie wanted everyone to know she found and "EGG, EGG, EGG, mommy, EGG, EGG"...

Then they discovered the treats inside the eggs.... :)

After discovering the treats, Jocie decided she was done with hunting and wanted to just eat all the treats :)

On Friday, the YMCA had an Easter egg hunt for all the kids. Here the girls are eagerly awaiting the hunt...

Jocelyn sprinted out and had her basket full in like 30 seconds!

Daddy giving Gabbie some pointers...

Strategizing over their next move...

We got to got to Church on Easter Sunday (which we were thankful for since last year they were sick on Easter and we couldn't go). It was an awesome service reflecting on the life, death, and resurrection of our Savior. How grateful I am that He has conquered the grave and given us Hope!

After church, we got an unexpected invitation to have lunch with one of my twin friends and her family. We would have been having turkey sandwiches for lunch, but instead we had ham, potato salad, smoked salmon, pasta salad, fresh fruit, and amazing ice cream. Shane was especially excited :) That afternoon we went swimming in our friend's pool and went for a boat ride on the lake. The girls had a blast! Thanks to Stephen and Julie for letting us celebrate Easter with you and your family!

Our attempt at an Easter Pic....

It's like they are doing it on purpose.... :)

Shane enjoying a relaxing Easter meal.... haha
