Orlando Trip Day 1

A few weeks ago we drove down to Orlando for a few days to visit friends and take the girls to Disney for the first time ever (well, we actually took them for like 2 hours when they were 20 months old, but they have no memory of that :). THEY.WERE.PUMPED. Actually that is a major understatement. They had been counting down the days for 2 whole months.

Driving down to O'town :)

We stayed with our fabulous Kiwi friends (aka Aunt & Uncle) Georgie & Mark. They are in seminary at RTS for the next 3 years and we LOOOOOVE the fact that we can actually drive to see them vs. taking a plane to the other side of the world :). We arrived at their apartment a few minutes before they returned.....thus the next few pics....

Aunt Georgie!!!!
Their apartment complex has a really sweet pool that the girls IMMEDIATELY wanted to go to try out :)

Georgie getting warmed up before hitting the pool with the girlies :)

The daddy and his girlies
It didn't take long for the girls to talk Aunt Georgie into joining them...

Look at her go :)

WHOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!

The Gabster preferred sun-bathing..... :)
Team-jumping....

She finally decided to give it a go :)
The original Karate Kid ;)

Aunt Georgie is the C.O.O.L.E.S.T.

Gabbie is currently OBSESSED with doing cartwheels. She wakes up in the morning and the first thing she does is do cartwheels down the hall to the living room then she continues to do them all day....no matter where she is at....thus....cartwheels at the pool :)
Synchronized to perfection :)
There she goes again :)

Doing a little Karate Kid action herself :)
After the pool, Aunt Georgie showed the girls how to play Go Fish. They were amazed :)

That evening we met up with some of our good friends for dinner that we had made when we lived down in Orlando a  couple of years ago. Julie and Stephen also have twin girls the same age as ours. It was SOOOOOO fabulous seeing them and their sweet girlies! And yes, ours look GIGANTOR compared to theirs!

Me and Julie!
The daddys! AND Julie and Stephen's youngest daughter, Claire :)
After dinner and playing at the park, we headed to Jeremiah's for some AMAZING icecream....

Sweet girlies :)
Such a fun first day! Day 2 is Disney Day!! coming soon!!

The Daddy's Birthday!!

MawMaw came over a couple of days before Shane's birthday to watch the girls for me while I worked at Clinique. After I got home we were taking the Daddy out for an early birthday dinner. The girls said they had to dress up "REALLY PRETTY" for daddy's birthday dinner :))

And where did the daddy choose???? BIG TIME DINER, of course!
He was pretty much in heaven :)
They definitely have the best milkshakes EVER!
Cuteness!

This girls cracks.me.up.

On the daddy's actual birthday, the girls made him some home-made birthday cards along with a special birthday breakfast. Yes, they insisted that the waffles have birthday candles in them :)
Happy Birthday Daddy!! (Let's be honest though....the best part of his gifts was getting to sleep in until 8AM!!!! THAT was my birthday gift to him! :)))

USA vs. TROY!!

The Jags football team played Troy for the first time ever a couple of weekends ago. PawPaw and MawMaw came over to join in the fun. Unfortunately the weather was super yucky, so we headed to Cracker Barrel for a late lunch hoping the rain would stop....

Annnnnnd, it didn't stop.....but we braved the game anyways along with a zillion other rain-jacket, poncho-covered peeps....including the Parks clan....

yea....it only got worse from here for the Jags....

Still sitting in the rain....PawPaw looks REEEEEEAAAALY happy! ha!

We did get to see some fabulous friends that we hadn't seen in forever. Keyshonda ran track at South years ago and her hubby, Tony, played football at Troy back in the day. They were both involved in Campus Outreach when we were on staff. SO great seeing you guys!!

And, of course, we had to see Missy! No rain is gonna stop that! :))

A little wrestle-time with PawPaw before they headed home :)
