Dirty Girls Mud Run!!

Last Saturday my best friend from high school, Lari, drove over from Pace to join me for the Dirty Girl Mud Run here in Mobile. It's a 3 mile obstacle course with lots of mud and muddy water involved. Fun times, right?!? The only negative was that is was VERY cold! Cold, windy and wet mud don't seem to fit together all that nicely ;).....but we braided our pigtails, tied on our bandanas, pulled up  our silly socks and wiggled into our home-made tutus anyways :))))
The girlies wanted  a pic with us before we headed out to the crawl around in the cold, wet, mud :)

Waiting for our wave to be called.....as we FROZE....

Bout to start!

 Our first wall climb!

Crawling through nasty mud on our hands and knees. Yea, it was pretty gross.....and did I mention COLD?!?!?
We made it through that disgusting pit.....and off to the next obstacle...
Whoop Whoop!
And to the finish line.....down a huge slide into, yes, you guessed it....another mud pit :)

 Yay! Done!

 Super fun!!

Yay for family visits!

Gigi, HayHay, Uncle Bryan and Aunt Marcia-Lynn came down for a quick visit a few weeks back. The girls had a blast with them! ( I mean, we did too, but you know....nothing is about us anymore.... :)

Gabbie & Aunt Marcia-Lynn....
Uncle Bryan & Jocie with her fake smile :)
Marcia-Lynn had never had raw oysters before (in my opinion that is a fantastic thing b/c they are D-scuting!)....so to fix that, HayHay took us all out to Wintzells so she could try them...

HayHay showing her how to "prepare" your oyster properly....

Annnnnd she's up.....
eeeeeeeewwwwwww.....
Annnnnd she LOVED them. What!?!?!?? Gross. To each his own....to each his own... :)

Gabbie on the other hand decided to eat her body weight in crab claws.....
seriously....

Before they left to go back to Georgia, Gigi took the girls to the store and got them Rapunzel outfits for their "Fairy Tale Day" at school.....complete with long blonde wigs and all accessories. She doesn't spoil them at all....not one little bit :)

Skating!!!

One of our friends, Josh, decided to have his 30th birthday party at the skating rink-80's style. YES!!! WHAT A FANTASTIC IDEA!!! Shane and I haven't been skating in YEARS....I mean, last time was at a beach project social....it's been a while :). This was the girls' first time ever skating. We really didn't know what to expect, but we were shocked at how quickly they caught on....

The birthday boy....working the 80's shades and the rink....

HOW cool are these things?? Brilliant idea to help kiddos learn to skate. Just brilliant.

This made me pee my pants a little! Last time I saw Steph skate was on beach project social FOREVER ago.....now she is skating WHILE pushing her SECOND child in a stroller. AWESOME.

Cake time! PacMan....naturally....
Josh, his 80's stylin' wife and one of his cute little girls....

The Steedley fan....rockin' the 80's look....love it.
There were just a FEW kids there :)
Gab fighting to keep her balance!
Annie & Robyn- who, by the way, found every article of  80's clothing she is wearing in her closet. Man....I LOOOOOVE me some 80's!
Strikin' a pose...

Too cool for school....
By the end of the day the girlies were zooming on these things....
as well as the daddy.... :)))))

Fun with PawPaw!

A few weeks after Christmas we took a day trip over to Jay to visit with PawPaw. A few days prior had been his birthday so the girls gave him some homemade birthday cards they had made....

They would go down the slide while PawPaw tried to "get" them :)

Of course they had to end the day with a tractor ride....
