Our dear friend, JK, stayed with us for several weeks back in May. While he was here, he happened to have a birthday. They girls wanted to surprise him with "mommy's special birthday cake"- so they helped me make it and then, as you can see, they had to "try it out to make sure it was tasty" before they presented it to him :)
