Easter 2013

At church on Easter. The girls called these their "wedding dresses". Gabbie begged me to wear my wedding dress as well (and my long white silky gloves) so I would match them. Too bad it's all boxed up ;)

After church we headed over to Jay to have Easter lunch at Grandma's.....yummo...

Besties

The girls LOOOOOVE their two best friends from school, Kristina and Payton "the girl". They talk about them ALL the time and EVERY single day after school they play together on the playground. They are all going to be SO sad next year not to be going to school together. It's so cute to watch them interact with each other. They are truly besties for sure :)))

Strong-Willed....

I posted this pic on facebook a while back, but for those of you who missed it here ya go.....

I was driving home with the girls from teaching at the gym one day. They were acting crazy and tired so I asked them if they wanted to take a nap when we got home (I ask them this everyday....basically as a joke b/c they REFUSE to take a nap EVER). The emphatically and loudly answered by question with, "NO! We don't need to take a nap!! We are NOT tired!!!". LITERALLY about ONE minute later I looked in the review mirror and see this. Totally passed out. Can you say "Strong-Willed"??? Ummm, yes. They sure are.

Azalea Trail Run 2013

Another Azalea Trail Run has come and gone. The weather forcast was calling for torrential storms during the race, but thankfully, they held off until mid-day and the weather was actually awesome for the race....overcast, not too hot....AND the best part...they reversed the course this year and I (along with every other runner there I believe) LOVED it reversed. It was SO.MUCH.BETTER.

Shay and I both ran the 10K....

I had told the daddy a couple times earlier in the week that the course was reversed, but somehow he didn't "hear" me, so he and girls went to the normal finish line and then realized that the course was reversed and wasn't able to make it to the real finish line until after I had already crossed :( , but atleast I was able to find them in the massive crowd :). I had very low expectations for this years' race b/c I have been teaching so many classes that I haven't had time nor desire really to just run. The last time I had actually ran was the Senior Bowl 10K at the end of November. However, I was shocked at how good I felt and that I actually almost ran my best 10K time ever. Crazy!

The girls weren't very pumped about seeing me, but they were ecstatic about getting to see the Chick-fil-A Cow....
and the Azalea Trail Maids.... :)))

The Birthday Celebration- the ONE & ONLY Chuck E Cheese Party they will EVER HAVE :)

For months the girls begged to have their 5th birthday party at Chuckecheese.  I tried my best to talk them out of it....but none-the-less....they got their wish. I hate Chuckecheese. I mean, don't get me wrong- as a kid-I LOVED it. I remember having my own birthday parties there and looooooving it. But, as the parent and adult now- I loathe it :) Maybe it's the qua-billion out-of-control children running around like wild animals everywhere (mine included)....or maybe it's the fact that when I walk in to the place, I literally "see" the flu virus, strep throat, and stomach virus germs staring at me from every angle.....whatever it is.....I told them they better for sure have the time of their life b/c this is their ONE shot partying opportunity with ol' Chuck E..... :))

These are the outfits they picked out to wear to their party....complete with gloves :) Jocie was in a TREMENDOUS mood right before we left to go to the party (as you can tell) and was refusing to smile for a pic. Gab was getting pretty annoyed with her :)

The best one we could get.....

Their "Chuck E Star" Balloons.....and may I just add that as I am typing this right now, BOTH of these balloons are still half-way floating in the corner of the playroom....like three and half weeks later.....It's like ol' Chuck E is trying to haunt me ;)
