Christmas Decorating!!

Shane I both love Christmas and love decorating for Christmas. Sadly, for the past 3 years we haven't decorated for Christmas at all....2 of those years we were living in Orlando and traveled to see family for several weeks around Christmas so it just seemed pointless to decorate when we weren't even going to be around to enjoy it. Last Christmas Shane and I were in New Zealand for our friends, Mark and Georgie's, wedding so again, we weren't even going to be here to enjoy any of it. SO, needless to say we were VERY excited about decorating for Christmas this year. The girls were equally (if not more) pumped about it, too. The day before we left to go to Georgia for Thanksgiving, a friend of ours from church called Shane and told him that they had purchased several beautiful live Christmas trees and wanted to give us one!!! YAY! That was so very sweet of them and it is by far the best looking tree we have ever had.....

We got all the decorations out of the attic, put on some Christmas music, and the girls went to town putting ornaments on the tree....
And the daddy helped them reach the "willy high" parts :)

Their favorite "ball" was this one...which was really neat because it is the ornament we bought in honor of the baby we lost almost 7 years ago. I'm so glad we have it to remind us of our little one that we will meet one day.....

The finished product!!
We decorated a few other spots in the house, too. Here is our manger scene which I absolutely LOVE. My mother-in-law got if for me for Christmas several years ago. The girls loved it too. I had to threaten them big time because they really wanted to "hold the baby sheeps"....which we all know would have resulted in broken little baby sheeps :)
Cute mailboxes for our Christmas cards we receive....
The dining room....

I am also so excited about celebrating Advent as a family this year. It is our first time doing it and it has been really awesome. I have some cute pics that will be coming of some of our advent moments :)
The girls "willy big socks" :)
Every morning when the girls wake up they run into the living room and turn on the Christmas lights on the tree and then they ask if it is Christmas yet....it's so cute. Not too much longer girlies!

We have the same nativity set and the day after it was put out this year we had a headless wise man. Thankfully it was a clean break and we were able to reattach with without really being able to tell. :)
