Thanksgiving weekend in the Sham (Part 1)

I have so many pics from our Thanksgiving trip to Habersham that I am going to break it up into two posts. Enjoy!

Our trip started off with a 9 1/2 hour drive up to Georgia (which is usually a 6 hour trip)....I mean, it is totally our fault for choosing to drive through Atlanta on the busiest travel day of the year. We were in stand-still traffic for like 3 1/2 hours in Atlanta. It was WAY fun. The girls even had to pee in the froggy potty in the back of the van on the interstate....oh, and I did too....AWESOME.

When we FINALLY arrived, HayHay & Gigi had a surprise waiting for the girls.....
Yep....it's a Barbie Jeep....they went nuts!

:)
Taking it for its first spin....

PawPaw & MawMaw had gotten all the grand kids a truck similar to this one a while back so they have had some practice driving already....but they were still a little rusty at first :)
Gabbie's turn in the driver's seat....

These little wicker chairs were Gigi's when she was little....so cute!
Gigi had a few more surprises in inside for the girls....cute little purses, some jewelry, and barrettes....
Then it was tea party time :)
Oh, and a tea party in the tub as well :)

Gabbie decided it was much more efficient to just drink out of the teapot :)

Then Uncle "Wance" and Aunt "Juwah" got there from Kentucky....whoop whoop!!!

Yep....they wore Uncle Wance out!
Thanksgiving morning began with watching JibJab videos with HayHay....they were hilarious...
and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with daddy....
Gabbie helped Gigi make the dressing.....

All the recipes Gigi was using for our Thanksgiving feast....evidence of the yumminess to come :)

I mean....it just doesn't get much better than a fried turkey....

Uncle Wance showing off the turkey bones left over after he stripped the meat off the DELICIOUS fried turkey.....
Shane getting a little taste-test before lunch...
YUM
Close-ups of the the YUM...

Cuteness
Uncle "Bwyan" and Aunt "Marsa Wynn" :)
Gigi & HayHay
They were just a little bit excited about their chocolate cookie with whipped creme on top :)
Joc also had some amazing homemade applesauce as well....

It was a GORGEOUS day so after we filled our tummies to the brim we went for a walk down to the river by Bryan and Marcia-Lynn's house. Aunt Julia is starting a new trend of trendy top with skinny jeans that are just a tad too short paired with running shoes....looking hot Aunt Juwah! :)

How cute is this??

oh, and this, too :)
We found some hay bails along the way :)

They love them some Uncle Wance :)
Finally made it to the river....

They thought throwing rocks into the river was SO cool...
Uncle Bwyan helping them find acorns :)

:)
They continued to wear the Uncles completely out....but the Uncles didn't seem to mind :)

Love it!
Just a few short hours later, we headed over to Uncle E and Aunt Caroline's for the huge Black Thanksgiving dinner....wowzers....

The four little girlies at the kiddie table....
I know you probably could care less about food pictures...but seriously....this was AMAZING...Caramel poundcake....oh my goodness....
and I might have also tried the red velvet, the German chocolate, and the pumpkin cheesecake as well....and yes, they were equally AMAZING. A day FULL of Thanksgiving and EATING. Definitely a great day :)
