On Wednesdays we head down to Trinity Gardens for Bible Club. Our friend, Mrs. Charlene, has been doing Bible Club there for many years and it's been awesome to get to know some of the kids hang out with them at the community center. Several of them were able to come to our VBS we had back in June. The girls love going every week to see their "fwends".
A couple of weeks back their was a special celebration. One of the boys, Matthew, that had grown up coming to Mrs. Charlene's Bible club had returned back home after attending the Navy Academy. It was a huge deal to have him back and for his family and friends to celebrate with him in his accomplishment. They had a share time in the beginning and several people shared about how proud they were of Matthew and encouraged him about his future in serving with the Navy and how the Lord can use him. It was a sweet time. Afterwards, family and friends served everyone a delicious meal in honor of Matthew.

Thanks so much for letting us be a part of this sweet celebration. Even though we didn't know Matthew we felt like we got to know him through all the things people shared about him. We pray God will work in his life and use him as he leaves soon for his first Navy assignment.
