Getting ready for the big day....

For the past week the girls have been counting down the days until their birthday party. Everyday they would anxiously ask me if it was time for their birthday cupcakes. They would tell each other every day that on their birthday they were going to be "tree years old" and hold up 3 fingers (they each would hold up three different fingers of course....geeez, they are SO different from each other :). A few days before their party I was in the kitchen and heard them singing happy birthday in the sun room. I walked in and saw that they had built birthday cakes out of their blocks and were singing happy birthday to each other. Jocie even had a miniature ketchup bottle that she was using to "light" the candles. It was hilarious and SO cute!

They were totally harmonizing with each other :)

On Thursday their teachers at school gave them happy birthday crowns and the class sang happy birthday to them (since they wouldn't actually be there on their real birthday). When I picked them up, their teacher told me that after they sang happy birthday to them, they both asked where their birthday cupcakes were. Hilarious. They would not take off their crowns for the rest of the day. Here is a pic of Jocie when I went in to get her after she woke up from her nap.....she cracks me up!

I promise that we teach them to eat with silverware!! For some reason they decided to just SCOOP the noodles up with their hands.... :)

Needless to say they were super pumped about their upcoming birthday....which was a blast, by the way. The pics are coming soon!!
