Last weekend the Spivey's had a "reveal party". I had heard of these but had never actually been to one. Morgan has two boys already and was totally convinced that this third baby was another boy. Everyone at the party cast their vote on what they thought the baby was going to be.....
She had made a cake and had filled it with either blue or pink icing so that when she cut it we would all know what she was having.....drum roll please.......PINK ICING!!!! IT'S A GIRL!!!!! (that was my vote, Shane had picked boy) Needless to say, she was shocked! SO fun!! Little girls are awesome....and no, I am not biased at all :) I am also excited to say that Shane and I have been waiting for someone to pick one of our two favorite names for a baby....either....ShaJuan OR LaShane. It's our names combined. I mean, who can do that with their names so easily like we can. WELL....we decided at their reveal party that we would also reveal these amazing name options....and we are ecstatic to say that the Spivey's chose ShaJuan!! Wow. What a privilege and honor for them to pick one of our combo names. We cannot wait to meet sweet little ShaJuan. She is truly blessed to have a name like that :) Your welcome, Spivey's, you're welcome.
She also had several of her favorite "cravings" during this pregnancy so far...meatballs, cheese ball, apple dip, cucumbers and ranch, little pickle sandwich thingys (which were AMAZING), chili-cheese dip....all of which were super yummy. Such a fun first reveal party experience!!! We are SO excited for you guys!!!
