USA 2011 Homecoming Pep Rally

This past week was Homecoming week at South. On Thursday night I took the girls to the Homecoming pep rally on campus. They were WAY pumped about wearing their new Jags "cheerleaders". We met up with Lauren and her twin sis, Kristen (who is in town visiting from California) before heading over to the pep rally.

I love this pic! Two sets of adorable twins :)
This one is super cute, too :)
Gabbie and Kristen racing up the stairs at the tower where the pep rally would be taking place...
We got there about 15 minutes early. The Prowlers were practicing their dance moves. If you don't know...the Prowlers are the USA dance team. The girls were entranced.....

Especially the Gabster....
Kristen volunteered to take a pic of me and the girls...one of the few times I'm in a pic with them...thanks Kristen! I can't get over how happy Gabbie looks in this picture :)
The Molten Tower...it's like the central meeting place on campus for events, etc.
They thought the Jaguar was amazing...
Jocie "petting" the jaguar....
When the cheerleaders came out the girls started screaming in excitement and waving at them. One of them asked if they wanted to take a picture with her. They were way more pumped than this pic shows :) They asked her if they could have her pom poms! They are so shy :)
Lauren and the girlies :)
Their 2nd wave of hysterical excitement came when SouthPaw, the mascot, showed up. I thought they were going to hyperventilate....
Here they are waiting for their 3rd and biggest reason for excitement....

The twins got on the other twins' shoulders so they could see better :)
Their idol, twirler Missy!!

Pre-show hugs :)
Missy twirled a fire baton. It was super cool. The girls had been talking all day about how they couldn't wait to watch Missy "throw fire"....but of course, Gabbie added, "but we have to be willy careful not to get close so we don't get a boo-boo from the fire" :)

After-show chat
yea, needless to say, the pep rally was a hit. They girls totally enjoyed themselves. More homecoming event posts to come!
